We often tend to think small when deciding on a color scheme and furniture for a small bedroom.
Sometimes, however, the space can be really so small that the opposite way of thinking would solve the solution, and even result in a very attractive and snug bedroom. The bed could take more or less nearly all the space up. There are some great Japanese styled beds that have a surrounding, projecting frame built around them. This is excellent for placing lamps and other items, such as books and your breakfast coffee pot. Or you could have built-in night tables and shelves which would look neater and take up less space.

Colors For The Small Bedroom – Big And Bold For The Small Bedroom
Bold colors can give the space energy. One of the most popular colors for rooms is the good-natured and energetic orange. It is a mixture of yellow which is symbolic for the intellect, and of red symbolizing emotionality. Orange has its very own characteristic. It connects the intellect and strong emotionality to become a good natured color. It does not have the aggressiveness of red but shares its energy, it is not as intellectual as yellow, but sheds the same brightness and joy.
It is certainly an excellent hue to brighten up a room and give it a warm and generous feeling. It creates a cheerful, expressive setting. Used in full saturation, it can be over stimulating and too boisterous. Therefore, care needs to be taken when using this color for walls. It may need mellowing down a little, especially when all the room is being painted in this hue.
One big picture with a clear statement would also look amazingly good in a small space. Blinds would be better for the windows rather than curtains, since they take up less space. The blinds could be considerably larger than the window to give the impression of spaciousness.
There will not be much space to move around in such a small room, but you will certainly not feel you are entering a stifling area. On the contrary, it will give you a feeling of generosity and openness.
